The New School Psychotherapy Research Program (NSPRP) is operated by the Clinical Psychology Program at the New School. We offer individual psychotherapy, provided by New School Clinical Psychology Ph.D. candidates under the supervision of licensed psychologists. Treatment is provided on an individualized basis and monitored carefully to ensure that clients’ goals are being met. All sessions are videotaped in order to assure that therapy is progressing in a satisfactory fashion and to enable us to conduct ongoing research regarding regarding factors contributing to change.
These videotapes are reviewed by supervisors with the treatment team. In addition, clients complete brief questionnaires prior to every session. Your responses to these questionnaires will help determine whether any changes are required to the treatment approach. They may also be used for research purposes.
